IntelliCeuticals Review & Giveaway CLOSED

CLOSED
From the people who brought you the IntelliGender test comes IntelliCeuticals, the best natural remedies to help informed moms and their babies feel happy, healthy and ready for the world each day! Their herbal remedies are safe, effective solutions for the health and comfort of mothers and mothers-to-be.

Are you pregnant or trying to conceive? Their holistic products bring quick relief to the symptoms women preparing for the pregnancy journey experience, like anxiety about your ability to conceive, and imbalances in physical, hormonal or emotional areas. Once your baby is on the way, IntelliCeuticals offers natural aids to help you adjust to your changing body, and prepare for delivery day, comfortable nursing and the return to pre-pregnancy normalcy.

After baby arrives, a new mom experiences changes to her skin, body, hormones, mood, and sleep patterns. Your energy level and ability to sleep and relax are challenged as you attend to baby’s needs and schedule. IntelliCeuticals has formulated natural aids that are effective and safe for nursing mothers. As the newborn settles in to the family, moms need healthy solutions to comfort and bond with her baby, overcome early discomfort in breastfeeding, and establish a healthy flow of breast milk. Baby’s skin changes too, and mom can find safe, natural relief from the dry flakes that come with cradle cap in time for picture day! IntelliCeuticals' experts have formulated remedies for your growing family with high quality ingredients drawn directly from nature to care for you and baby.

My Take
IntelliCeuticals was generous enough to send us three products to help prepare for the new baby: Episi-Prep Cream, Nature's Nipple Prep, and Baby’s Best Milk Drops.
Episi-Prep Cream
The Episi-Prep Cream helps to prepare the perineal area for baby’s arrival and soothes the perineal area immediately after birth. Because I am looking forward to having a natural birth this time around, I am delighted to have a product like this to help prepare for the inevitable stretching that comes along with birth, and hopefully it will help to prevent a tear. I haven't tried it yet since this baby won't be born for several more months, but I did smell it and it's yummy. :-)

Episi-Prep Cream is a 100% herbal formula which contains Vitamin E oil, Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica), Comfrey essential oil (Symphytum officinale), St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum), Lavender essential oil (Lavendula), Pilewort (Ranunculus ficaria), Silica, and Witch Hazel. All of these ingredients are carefully selected herbs in therapeutic dosages. It contains no harmful petrochemicals, sodium lauren sulfate (SLS) or parabens. It is also not tested on animals, contains no animal products, glutens, artificial colors, preservatives or flavors and is suitable for lacto-vegetarians (but it is NOT to be eaten!!)

Before birth and during the last few weeks of pregnancy Episi-Prep Cream can be massaged onto the perineal area, one to three times a day, helping to tone and prepare this area for the stretching it will experience during childbirth. After your baby is born, Episi-Prep Cream can be used as part of your post-birth recovery schedule to safely and effectively soothe the perineum. After cleansing the area, gently apply once or twice a day.
Nature's Nipple Prep
Breast feeding was quite difficult for me with the twins, and I'm sad that I wasn't able to do it for longer. One thing I had trouble with is the fact that nursing the twins hurt my nipples a LOT. It was so painful that I needed to use a nipple shield, which really hurt my milk supply and was so inconvenient. Breastfeeding should be a wonderful part of the maternity experience, allowing a special time for bonding between you and your baby. But with all the wonderful emotion, discomfort can arise from dryness and cracking of the tender skin - like it did for me. IntelliCeuticals' Nature’s Nipple Prep is a soothing cream intended to help maintain healthy skin tone around the nipple both prior to birth and once you begin nursing. It provides consistent moisture around the nipple area, soothes the area immediately after nursing, and helps to sustain a relaxed breastfeeding experience.

Nature’s Nipple Prep is a 100% natural formula which contains the following carefully selected ingredients in therapeutic dosages: Calc flour (6X), Marigold (Calendula officinalis), Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla), Silica (6X), and Vitamin E oil. Like the Episi-Prep Cream, it contains no harmful petrochemicals, sodium lauren sulfate (SLS) or parabens, it is not tested on animals, contains no animal products, glutens, artificial colors, preservatives or flavors and is suitable for lacto-vegetarians (although this should also NOT be eaten!)

Before birth you should lightly massage the cream onto the nipple and surrounding area two to three times a day throughout the last 2 - 3 weeks of pregnancy. After birth, wipe the nipple area with a fresh damp washcloth immediately after breastfeeding. Then, lightly massage Nature’s Nipple Prep into the nipple and surrounding area, making sure to wipe it clean with a warm washcloth before the next nursing session.
Baby’s Best Milk Drops
Going along with the breastfeeding theme, we have Baby’s Best Milk Drops. Another big problem I had with breastfeeding the twins is the fact that my milk supply was dismal. There were so many factors that caused this, the vast majority of which I hope not to have to deal with this time around. Baby’s Best Milk Drops works as an outstanding breast feeding stimulant, helps to support the natural flow of the mother’s milk, provides a strong lactation reaction in the nursing mom, and supports healthy digestion for mother and baby.

Baby’s Best Milk Drops contains Goat’s Rue (Galega officinalis), Borage (Borago officinalis), Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum), and Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum). It is a 100% herbal formula which contains the previously mentioned herbs in therapeutic dosages. I actually took Fenugreek while breastfeeding the twins, and I do believe it helped my supply.

Once the baby is born, you prepare the drops as follows. First, add 15 drops to 1/4 cup of just boiled water and allow the mixture to cool. Then you can drink it as is or feel free to dilute even further with juice. Plan to use it three times daily and, as with any remedy, you'll receive optimum results with regular use.
