"FireSong: A Gus LeGarde Mystery" Book Review & Giveaway CLOSED

FireSong is the latest LeGarde mystery in print, but there is more Gus to come! You can find a complete list of the books that Aaron has already written, whether or not they've been submitted to the publisher and when they are scheduled to be published here. Next week I will introduce you to Aaron's next series, Moore Mysteries.

About the Book:
"What would you do if your country church was hit by a rogue tornado during services? What if wild winds unearthed the bones of a missing parishioner in a nearby wheat field? Now add the discovery of heroin in your elderly minister's bloodstream. The Genesee Valley is in chaos. A new batch of drugs is on the street, endangering local students. The local salt mine collapses due to illegal mining practices. Watering holes turn to brine. Crops are dying. Tempers are short. To top it off, the new salt mine lies directly over ancient Indian burial grounds, bringing anguish to local tribes and inciting riots. When Gus LeGarde is thrown into the middle of the mess, he knows life has finally gone berserk in East Goodland. Join Gus as he's lured into a bizarre network of underground tunnels where he discovers the shock of his life and potential links to the Underground Railroad."

My Take:
This book will get your heart pounding!! Once again Gus finds himself in situations that would kill any normal man, and it'll scare the pants off of you! Be prepared for some amazing plot twists, too (that I didn't even see coming).

My favorite plot line during this book centers around the Underground Railroad. I didn't even know that there were stops in the Genesee Valley, but it just shows that my knowledge on the subject is really lacking. :-) The Underground Railroad is fascinating to me, as it reminds me of what Righteous Gentiles did for the Jews during the Holocaust, although of course the Underground Railroad happened about 80 years prior. It always warms my heart to hear of people risking their lives to save people who are being unjustly persecuted.

You can get a sneak preview and read the first chapter of FireSong at the LeGarde Mysteries website.

Cost: You can buy FireSong from Amazon.com for $13.22.

Overall: We give FireSong a 10/10!

One very lucky reader will win a copy of the book FireSong by Aaron Paul Lazar!

I think that equity for ALL is important, but at the current time it seems that gay rights are in the most jeopardy, so that issue is important to me!
