Welcome to The Twinners Reviews & Giveaways website!! Here's a little background to get to know us better.
The Twinners, Chana & Dovid, were conceived via IVF in 2008 after Mommy was diagnosed with unexplained infertility. She and Daddy had tried for one year on their own and then did 3 Clomid cycles and 5 Follistim/IUI cycles before having success on their very first IVF cycle. There were only two embryos left when all was said and done, and that's us!
We grew inside Mommy for 35 weeks, but things were not always easy during that time. In 1st Trimester there was a subchorionic hematoma inside the uterus with us, but luckily that went away without too much trouble. Then, the doctors saw that Baby A (Chana) had a placenta previa (which means it was covering Mommy's cervix). Once that moved, Mommy's cervix started to funnel!! Yikes! So, the doctors put in a cerclage, Mommy was ordered to modified bed rest and put on progesterone. From about 30 weeks on, Mommy was in and out of the hospital due to an irritable uterus and lots of Braxton Hicks contractions. At 33 weeks the doctors saw that the cerclage wasn't holding any more, so they took it out. Two weeks later, on March 18, 2009, we were born!! But, of course, that was fraught with complications too--abruptio placenta (Baby B/Dovid), emergency C-Section under general anesthesia, APGAR scores of 3 & 1, a ruptured uterine blood vessel and two hours of Mommy in surgery. But, thank G-d, everyone came out juuuuust fine!
On December 30, 2010 Mommy gave us a new baby sister named Tzipora! This baby was miraculously conceived the natural way. Mommy and Daddy didn't think it was possible, but Mommy's infertility doctor did (and he told her so only a month before she conceived). We absolutely love our baby sister. She's a lot of fun to "play with," and she's really cute, too.
This is our website where Mommy posts reviews and giveaways for the whole family. We hope you enjoy, and feel free to email Mommy at elana@thetwinners.com with any questions, comments or products to review/giveaway!
